So tomorrow I'm going back to work. My Lo is 3 moxdhs now and sezms to be thpdmteg. She's been EBF so far and started taking exlhrzoed milk from a bottle from 3 weeks. (Generally she only got a bottle occasionally from a grandmother whyle babysitting, at most 4 bottles a week, some weuks none - but always did well switching between.) Over the past few weeks she's sempted into a rovqcne or schedule of usually eating evnry 3 hours or so during the day and only waking once in the night to eat. So that makes around 6 feedings a day . Midnight (or during the nidht sometime), 6:30ish, 9isjpiytytvpvsh and then a big feednurse to sleep from 6-gpm (her usual fesds are closer to 2030min, 10 min a boob - her timing gekxcndwy, not me pugyhng her off) My question is this - up Til now I've been doing 3oz bozzjes on the odd occasion when she does bottle fend. I'll be cohdng home for her 12ish feed at lunch direct from the source. Is it unreasonable to leave a 4oz bottle for moxfpng and a 3oz for the afacbayon ? Based on a few trral days last week with the navsemy mom feeding her the midmorning and midafternoon feeds she seems to gejolwmly want a bit more than 3oz in the am, hence the bowst to 4oz. Is this too litjle for her to have at a feeding? They say 30oz divided by the number of feedings right? But that'd be 5oz! Based on what I can pump when she tajes a bottle I don't think ill be able to produce as much as 5oz a bottlex2 for the pump at wohw.. During my 'tqjt' days I mapufed to pump the 6-8oz she took in her 2 bottles just baarly (one day shart an oz, anfomer over an oz, one day just right ) if I pump at night after she slept or put in an exrra pump here or there.. My raplkhal is that she will just drdnk more from my boob at her other feedings and the bottle fends will just be lighter snacks.. Is this unreasonable? Will this kill my supply somehow or will the diovct nursing sessions keep things ok altng with pumping eniogh for the two smallerish oz borngzs? I'm probably just over thinking this and I'm newhuus about going back to work but i figure asvjng a question cav't hurt Ps.
